New to Crossroads?
If you're visiting Crossroads for the first time, we're so happy to have you as a guest! Here are a few things that should help your first visit or two be a great experience.
Join us for our next Welcome Reception, July 8th! You can get to know some of the staff and leaders here at CBC, hear the vision for ministry in our community, find answers to your questions and get to know your way around the building. See our Events page for more details about the next reception.
Please, LET US KNOW YOU'RE HERE! As you come into the main foyer area you will see our Welcome Center and we invite you to meet our greet team there. They will be able to help you get oriented to the building and where you should go next depending on what you're planning to check out during your visit.
If you are bringing your kids age infant through fifth grade, you'll head down to the South end of the building to our Main Street Kids area. As a first time guest you'll want to visit the kids staff at the Main Street welcome desk about half way down the hall. Our friendly staff will help you get your kids checked into our children's check-in system. Your first time checking in takes a bit longer as we need to gather some info from you during the check-in process (so plan for a few minutes of extra time!). Our greeters will then guide you to each one of the classes for your children. Our kids enjoy some playtime, Bible teaching, snacks and worship time together during each service. We know they will have a great time!
Kids programs are available during the 9:30am & 11:10am services.
Students - JR & SR High youth
Your Jr and Sr high students can enjoy joining with their peers in the Student Center for a time of worship and teaching. As you enter the doors to the Student Center you'll find volunteers at the sign-in tables. Just introduce yourselves and your student(s) and let them know you're here visiting and they will help get your student signed in and connected with other students.
Jr High and Sr High Youth meet during the 9:30am service in the Student Center for worship time and community groups.
Main Worship Service
In the worship center, our main worship service is a mix of contemporary worship and hymn designed to prepare our hearts for an encounter with God through music and teaching. We value the worship experience of everyone calls Crossroads home! Each service includes announcements of church engagement opportunities and the first Sunday of each month we celebrate communion together, led by one of our pastors or elders.
Following worship is a time of teaching with Pastor Jerry Mitchell, our senior pastor, or another of our staff members. Above all, we value the teaching of God's word plainly and without apology -- it is the only power capable of changing a heart, bringing about conviction and growth and exposing true joy and hope in today's world.
Sunday Morning Communities
During the 9:30am and 11:10am services, we hold several different Sunday Communities focused on teaching and community in a smaller group setting. The Communities are typically organized around a specific life stage. Check out the list of available Sunday Communities here and consider checking them out on one of your visits to Crossroads.
