Position: Student Ministries Event Planning Assistant

Purpose

This position will work alongside the Student Ministries (“United”) team to manage and execute the special events of United

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the coordination of special events for United: planning, promotion, budgeting, delegation, execution, etc.
  • Develop communication plans for each event
  • Recruit and equip all volunteers necessary for events
  • Work with vendors and others as needed to gather all needed resources for events
  • Collaborate with student ministry admins for registrations, payments, transportation, etc.
  • Evaluate post events for future planning

Organizational Relationship

  • Directly accountable to the Student Ministries Director
  • Collaborates and interacts closely with student ministry team
  • Attends weekly team meetings

Classification

  • Part-Time, 20 hours per week, semi-flexible with supervisor approval
  • Hourly | Non-Exempt

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with managing projects/big events
  • Displays a godly character as outlined in scriptures (1 Timothy 3, Titus 2, etc.)
  • High School Diploma or higher level of education
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and works on own initiative
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, Planner, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of church specific programs (Planning Center, Realm, etc.) preferred
  • Projects a gracious spirit and an authentic empathy with working with others
  • Has a teachable and open attitude towards co-workers, direct reports, and new ideas
  • Committed to the theology, strategy, and vision of Crossroads Bible Church
  • A regular attender and active member of Crossroads Bible Church
