early childhood coordinator

 

Purpose 

To provide focused leadership for Sunday morning early childhood programming (birth - pre-K) that equips families for everyday faith.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a dynamic and irresistible Sunday morning program. One that emphasizes:

    • Truth - craft core biblical truths into engaging, relevant, memorable experience.

    • Strategy - align leaders and parents to lead with the same end in mind.

    • Family - parents actively involved in the discipleship process of their kids.

    • Community - everyone is connected to a caring and consistent group of peers.

    • Service - create regular opportunities for adults and students to experience personal ministry.

  • Schedule volunteers for both services.

  • Collaborate with Children's Director on implementation of an annual leader care and development plan (Recruitment, Orientation, Training, Appreciation, and Celebration.)

  • Purchase, prep and provide any curriculum/supplies needed.

  • Champion strong collaboration and clear communication in all aspects of Children's Ministry.

  • Coordinate a strategy/volunteer base to assist children with special abilities or needs. 

  • Oversee and implement the safety and security policies for Children's Ministry.

  • Collaborate with Children's Assistant with any administrative support needed.

  • Oversee and maintain the quality of the classrooms and any necessary storage.

  • Assist the Children's Director or Family Minister with any special projects/events.

 

Organizational Relationships 

  • Directly accountable to the Children's Director, in their absence the Family Minister.

  • Collaborates and interacts closely with Children's Ministry Team. 

  • Attend weekly Children's Team meetings.

 

Classification 

  • Part-time (20 hours/week) | Hourly | Non-exempt

 

Qualifications 

  • Loves working with families with young kids and is passionate about relational ministry.

  • Embodies the Family Ministry Team Values: relational, considerate, fun, passionate, creative, humble, and trustworthy. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Committed to the theology, strategy, and vision of Crossroads Bible Church and is a member or regular attender of Crossroads.
